ICT And Statistics Unit
The Unit perform the following activities: -
- Formulate policies and regulations relating to ICT services;
 - Identify current and future ICT needs of the Institute and advise how improvement could be made;
 - Integrate ICT operations, computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications and data processing;
 - Coordinate implementation of ICT systems and provide advice to other senior managers accordingly;
 - Ensure proper functioning of ICT infrastructures in the Institute;
 - Assess service rendered by external ICT contractors and advice the Executive Director accordingly;
 - Liaise with the IT system suppliers/vendors and maintain Service Level Agreements with software providers and suppliers;
 - Plan for preventive maintenance schedules of all equipment.
 - Coordinate training programs for computer users;
 - Design and coordinate implementation of computerized systems to improve performance effectiveness and efficiency;
 - Coordinate, collect, summarize, interpret and maintain Institute’s statistics;
 - Compile periodical statistical reports and submit to relevant authorities; and
 - Provide support to students and researchers from associated training or research institutions.
