Develop research guidelines and protocols and oversee implementation.

Coordinate and monitor consultancy services and standards.

Encourage staff to conduct research.

Help JKCI staff seek research funding and consultancy work.

Establish research partnerships within and outside Tanzania.

Establish a JKCI journal and encourage publication in peer-reviewed international journals.

Develop and deliver advocacy initiatives based on research findings.

Develop research infrastructure and coordinate preventive services.

Develop and write research projects for the Institute.
